Junkyard Symphony
My project, Junkyard Symphony, was focused on recreating the iconic soundtrack of WALL-E using field recordings, samples, and synthesizer. To achieve this, I collected a variety of sounds from my environment and objects, including the rolling of coin, construction noises, morning birds chirping, wavetables and the click of music boxes. These sounds formed the foundation of my compositions and helped me create a soundscape that was unique and unconventional. Through this project, I hoped to showcase the creative potential of using everyday sounds and simple instruments to make an audiovisual presentation that highlighted the beauty of the sounds I had collected and the creative possibilities of unconventional music-making. By breaking down the traditional barriers to music-making and embracing the natural world around us, we can unlock new levels of creativity and expressiveness.
